Kitsune has been very interested in some local scent lately, and has had her nose in the air all day. In the meanwhile, a neighbor's game camera just snapped a picture of a black bear - coincidence? I had no idea they lived in this area! I sure hope it leaves our trash alone...

I do, and they're usually very friendly. But for SOME reason, the minute I reach for the lube, they take off!

I'm not too surprised about your bear. I know we have'em around here, but we've only eveidence we've seen are the scat. I think they (literally) come with the territory, along with mountain lions, bobcats, wild turkeys, woodpeckers, etc. The bears seem to keep to themselves. If only the human kind around here didn't...

We're finally putting in a deer fence, and it'll be interesting to see if that changes anything.

Bears? Oh Oh! Not a nice visitor to meeet on a dark night. Gimme Vampyres any night of the week. I admit that are cute, but really dangerous.

OTOH, Bear is very tasty... and Bear claws baked in clay are a northern Chinese delicacy.
