Quiet Saturday night in guerneville. Got a double espresso at Coffee Bazaar and it was, like, a tablespoon in total. I complained that this could not possibly be a double, but she informed me that it was "precalibrated".

Please, I'm old shool Italian. When I say there isn't enough coffee in my cup, I MEAN it.

As I recall, Bob Young owns the place. He's ... not liked by everyone.

There's a legal standard for espresso? If that's true I might actually call them. From a little googling, it looks like the typical shot size is an ounce.

Compliment them on their choice to serve ristrettos, and then ask whether they've adjusted the water temps accordingly. And the grind. And then go somewhere else.
