I'm leaving at 1 PM tomorrow for a two-week trip to Canada.

Just got a tracking number from Apple, and my iPad will be arriving here "by 3 PM".

Gah. It's some sort of karmic punishment for caving in to materialism, isn't it?

Local mountains closed, as is Whistler. Blackcomb open til end of month: top 1/3 still great, middle is marshmallow, bottom is dirt. FYI.

May. Whistler closed on Sunday (I took a newbie boarder up Harmony Express; I think she wants to have my babies now). I frickin' hate marshmallow!

Blackcomb'll close for June then open for the glacier in July.

Yeah, it's kinda sick and desperate, but this is exactly the kind of travel I bought the thing for in the first place!

I particularly love extremely wet slush, which is what you usually get up there. Lots of wax and it's very very fast, and you can knock people over with your rooster tail. Also fun is traversing small ponds. Enough speed and you can get about 50 feet before sinking. ;-)

But if it's grabby, that's no fun at all!
