Provocative Book Cover

Spotted at a bookstore at the restored logging railroad near Yosemite. Where, perhaps not so coincidentally, a large highway sign reads "Ride The Logger". And there is a prominent plaque placed by E. Clampus Vitus. Ya think?

Apparently, the novel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/By_the_Great_Horn_Spoon!) was made into a Disney movie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0061333/) in 1967 under a different name. The "very proper butler" was played by Roddy McDowell. If the bigger guy pictured on the cover of the book is the character "Mountain Ox", then this was the actor who played the big ox (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0563417/bio).
