It's a great luxury to be able to take time to pack. To really consider things and not have to rush, and to take the time to contemplate the things we own. I find a lot of pleasure in it. Nevertheless, it remains a tremendous amount of work. We're basically done, and the trucks come tomorrow, but the few loose ends seem insurmountable. I keep losing the tape gun, which is infuriating.
My relationship to things has greatly improved. We buy almost nothing new nowadays, and the things we have are by and large not an embarrassment. I actually like them.
It was such a good idea to hire loaders and drivers rather than trying to do that ourselves. We would surely have killed ourselves in the process.
I'm about to unplug the computer. Tomorrow, I will pick up a directional wireless antenna in Ukiah and hopefully get back on the Internet fairly soon. In theory, anyway. See you then.
