Made it. The pass was a piece of cake, once I was able to defrost my washer fluid jets. Who knew you needed a different kind for cold weather? Much misery, and ultimately a cracked windshield, was caused by having the wrong kind.

Very peaceful here.

Most of California they sell a formula not useful in freezing weather. Up in the Sierra they sell the 20% methanol stuff that does not freeze. It's just not very environmentally friendly.
