Has anyone used the first and second ipads side by side? The one and only thing I care about is the display. For reasons that are hard to identify, the pad makes my eyes go a little squirrely. I'm wondering if version 2 is any better in that regard.

From what I've heard, there's no significant change in the display visually. It's physically thinner and lighter, but I haven't heard anyone exclaim on a visual difference. It's obviously a different panel, though, so it's possible whatever's causing you trouble has changed.

Given that such sensitivities tend to be highly personal, I'd say your best bet would be to find one to look at in person and see if you react the same way.

Can an Otter ever feel Squirrely?

I have the original iPad and an office mate has the iPad 2. I've looked at them side by side running the NetFlix app and couldn't see any difference between the two.

Both versions use the same display hardware, so you'll probably find the iPad 2 as frustrating as the first iteration. With that said, I'm surprised you're having a problem... I've found the display to be bright, clear and viewable at extreme angles.
