What was politically incorrect 20 years ago is now retro-chic. For example: the collages at the Anne Taintor website, depicting 1950s housewife imagery cojoined with pithy/oblique expressions seem to embrace empowerment rather than condescension.
Or perhaps those women confronting you two decades ago were just bee-yaches...
