I do so enjoy calling the ham lady. She usually chats me up for about 10 minutes. She was invited to Spain for a ham exhibition, and was the first American producer to participate. She's terribly proud that her hams are being ordered by chi-chi chefs in California, so it's delightful telling her about how I use them. Anyway: UPS is going to be sending a big chunk of meat to my door soon. And letting me have it, for once.
