I recently took
jstregyr to Glass Beach in Fort Bragg, which was once the site of the town dump. (Back in the day, they just heaved their trash over the cliff.) Now, about half the mass of the beach consists of polished glass.

Basically it's heaven for OCDers that want to find rare bits of beach glass. It was a bit surreal, as there were SO many people sorting through pebbles. It's a strangely compelling habit, kind of relaxing actually.

The scenery is otherwise quite dramatic.

Who I was stalking while pretending to take pictures of wildlife:

The glass makes for a nice little desk accessory. The endless shades of green and white are particularly pleasant to look at.
