Yes, I'm still alive, though not writing much. That's the trouble with LJ: more things to post means less time to post them in.

The days go by so fast! I seem to be busy much of the day but don't have a whole lot to show for it at the end. I'm doing some software work, while the parade of specialists doing their thing to ensure that the commercial kitchen is in compliance with regulations is nearly done. There was a fire suppression system test, and a hood airflow test and fan adjustment that dramatically cut down on the noise the vent fan generates. (Yay!)

Some former neighbors from San Jose brought their young children up for their very first camping experience, which I think went really well. Their mother stayed in the guest room while dad and the kids camped below. A good time for all, and a reminder that I'm so glad I don't have children of my own.

The local Billy Club (faerie-style club involving retreats and heart cicles) has a weekly lunch which I've been going to - it's just about the only queer thing going on in the area. It's been sort of intresting.

There's a number of local people that I've known for years (moving to Ukiah has been something of a trend for the past decade), but I haven't had time to reconnect with most of them yet. I must get on the phone, but I feel a lot of inertia about it all. There's no rush, I suppose... (famous last words)

Had a wonderful few hours in San Francisco on Sunday - stopped by the Eagle, didn't get laid, usual thing. But it was fun. I also stopped by the Rainbow Cattle Company in Guerneville, which was actually more fun and laid back. I suppose Guerneville is my new San Francisco - just as before, it's about fifty miles to the nearest bar. But in not being urban, it's a lot more relaxed, not to mention offering much better riding to get there.

There's a little Redwood Run kick-off BBQ at the HD dealership today. Our next-door neighbor down the hill is heavily involved in the local HOG chapter, and seems to spend a lot of time hanging around the dealership otherwise. I'm going on the run with the usual RMC crew (John, Paul, Wayne) but it might be worth getting to know a few of the people here before we scare them to death at the run.

Wow, as an active and self-identified Radical Faerie, I've never heard of this before. I just went to their web page, and read up on it, and it seems almost identical in culture to Faeries -- so much so, that I am conjecturing that it must be an offshoot of the Radical Faeries, though there is nothing about their history on their website.

Whatever the case, I am pleased to know they exist, and that you are getting some social benefit out of it!
