Good reading re: procrastination
Apr. 8th, 2010 03:02 pmHere's an unusually lucid and interesting article on motivation and procrastination:

The linked video is worth watching, and the comments are lengthy and very good as well. I haven't been thinking very clearly about the problem of "negative motivation", and I suffer it in spades.
My own procrastination issues, though, may run deeper. I suffer from deep uncertainty about the very purpose of life, what goals are worthwhile, and so forth. Aside from what is actually possible to achieve, I sincerely and honestly cannot decide whether it's better to be a jet-setting millionaire or a monk with a begging bowl. With that depth of indecision, it's a miracle I get anything done.
