Climate Change Denial Denial
Sep. 27th, 2010 02:30 pmFrom the world of climate-change politics, I've noticed a bizarre thing come up a couple of times now. Several right-wing organizations that support the scientific consensus on climate change have been accused of opposing that view, and have had to issue "denial denials" in order to clarify their positions. Hard to know what to make of that.

[And yes, there are quite a few conservative, right wing, business-friendly organizations that agree with the science community on climate change. It really isn't a right-vs-left issue as one might think.]

Date: 2010-09-27 10:38 pm (UTC)Quite seriously, the exaggerations of the left are really bad too. Short-term catastrophe is not nearly as likely as environmentalists suggest, and there have many departures from the scientific consensus on the alarmist side that make me want to cringe.
