I mean, seriously, WTF? A little box to tell you where you can't park, where you can't get a table at a restaurant, where you can't hail a taxi, and where the bouncer won't let you in.

Once upon a time, there was a Bisexual Hippie/Biker bar in the Haight. Then it got bought bought by a gay gay, and he wanted to make sure that only shorthaired Castro boys got in. Therefore, Hippies and Bikers would then never again darken his bar.

He did this by putting out a doorman on the street, who informed the Infidels that they were ruining the neighborhood.

You forgot the part of the story where his biological dad, who helped finance the bar, tried to get in, but the doorman refused. Apparently dad was too old for the clientele ....
