I guess we're a "culinary family" now
Dec. 21st, 2010 07:55 pmMy sister is co-author on a cookbook that has won an award for best New Zealand cookbook of the year, and now it turns out she's among 3 other finalists for the global award, which is issued in Paris in March.

Tracy has a Ph.D. in tourism studies, having written her thesis on the impact of tourism on indigenous cultures in the Cook Islands, and now heads a culinary school in Christchurch. Needless to say, she is hugely excited about this.
John and I are going to be going to New Zealand in late March, a few weeks after the Paris event. If she wins, she may decide she's too famous to consort with the likes of us. :-P
