Consumer Whoredom
Jun. 2nd, 2011 02:29 pmJust dropped the big bucks on a fully loaded macbook air. Ironically its primary use will be for running Remote Desktop to a Windows machine. But it is also because my abandoned-by-a-client notebook is showing it's age and is just too fucking heavy to travel with. Also, mechanical hard disks are not motorcycle friendly. And also because I cannot pry the iPad out of Bill's hands - or, rather, hand, lol. And, you know, THE CLOUD.
It will be the first time in a long time I've used a Mac to any degree. Since back before OSX. But since OSX is actually the spawn of Nextstep, which I spent a lot of time with in the 90s, it is still weirdly familiar.
