Pot From Space
Nov. 19th, 2011 09:35 amGoogle has been substantially improving the resolution of its aerial photos around Mendocino County, and happens to have updated them right at the peak of the pot growing season. It's been very amusing exploring our neighbors' gardens. With some examples to work from, and a little practice, it's not hard to distinguish cannabis from pine trees, olive trees, and other look-alikes.
Here is a particularly entertaining example from Lake County. I suppose by putting a fenced garden deep in an orchard the grower thought he was being inconspicuous.
