Heh. I said "get off". Heh heh.
Aug. 12th, 2008 11:37 amDid I mention I wasn't sure how we were going to get the bike off the trailer? Down at the dealership, we had unhitched the trailer and Ron said something to the effect of "Would one of you guys step on the rail so that it..."
Just then the trailer tipped back of its own accord and more or less dumped Sharkey out on the pavement. Miraculously, he remained upright, sliding on his kickstand the whole time. Ron had grabbed the handlebars before he was halfway down, but at the time, I didn't think it was going to end particularly gracefully.
So ol' Sharkey might be in the shop for a couple of weeks. I had wanted to go on a ride to the Covelo blackberry festival with the Mendocino HOG group on Sunday but maybe that's not in the cards. Too bad, since said location is allegedly about as redneck as California gets, so of course it captures my imagination.
