Came across a display of posters, made by schoolchildren, describing their families. These two happened to be side-by-side and I thought they offered an interesting contrast.
So what you're saying is, people who try to emulate Christ are boring, uncreative "fundies"? You seriously believe that's a valid extrapolation of this artwork comparison?
Or maybe Duke is a rigid, upright patriot who HATES creativity and wishes all children were square and obedient. LOL.
Obviously it was a slightly provocative post on my part - but truth is, it's what I found. I was thinking: could this be reversed? Could one family be rigorously in service of The Earth, and sorting their recyclables while wearing hand-woven hemp clothing is what brings them together? Could the other family is like a happy troupe of monkeys living in Christ? Yep!
I actually knew a super-duper authoritarian eco-nut who would have made me an uncle to a family just like the first one. Thank god my sister-in-law never had any children by him, it would have been a disaster.
