Still Going

snousleDespite the chicken stumble, today's cooking has been uniformly excellent. Well, except for the pullapart rolls which were an outrageous, abject failure. I started at 5 AM this morning and finished with dessert at 8 PM.
WOW do these guys ever eat. I thought I brought way too much food, but they inhaled it. All three meals. Walking out of the kitchen with a tray of plum shortcakes with whipped cream, I was nearly attacked. Obviously I need to use this technique more often, it's a great way to flirt with guys.
A good bit of eye candy too - very much the rugged and crusty set despite the new-ageiness of it - but they're all terminally married. Don't they know that someone's supposed to put out for the chef?
Just had a nice soak in the hot tub. This has been really great. I think I'm addicted to the rush of total devotion to a job like this. Can't sustain it for more than a few days but it's fun.
