On the road
Mar. 15th, 2009 02:35 pmWell, I'm heading out this afternoon for a short trip, destination Sugar Bowl, where I hope to take the new snowboard for a spin on Tuesday with Otto.
On return, I'm hoping for the luxury of high speed Internet again. (The past month has been entirely dialup.) Fetzer isn't allowing Pacific Internet to service the solar relay on Fetzer's property, which is a total pain, so instead they're reconfiguring my antenna for the station on Cow Mountain, which is just visible from where our property. (Our immediate neighbor is SOL for this, for him it's hidden behind a ridge.) Amazingly, we get five bars of signal from that relay, even though it's more than ten miles away. With luck, this will be an even better and more reliable connection than we had before.
