Has anyone heard anything about the ActionCoach business coaching franchise? Teh interwebs are more or less saturated with marketing fluff and review-shilling, not much information from useful sources on the subject.

I met a franchisee coach who gave a talk through the chamber of commerce and she said a lot of very interesting things. I kind of wonder whether such coaches actually help or whether it's all about flattering / entertaining the client - I'm kinda skeptical that way. But it wouldn't take much to make it worth the investment if she could actually help make me better.

I know a few folks who have used a coach in their business. I was offered one at a huge discount for a specific amount of time. I tried it and I no longer use one. When I talk about what a coach does with those who do use them, it seems they too get what I got and for some it works, not I. It is what amounts too ego boosting and supposed accountability. I am not a rah rah rah sis boom bah kind of guy. I find it all too annoying. But for some, it does work.

I'm thinking they're on an even keel with the company who keeps writing me, telling me that if I hire them, they'll make my website #1 at google.
