Kitsune had another showdown with the buck this morning, and this time I saw it myself. He was at the edge of a road, and she was a little bit downhill, barking like mad. The buck was all muscle and stern glares, and Kitsune was going, like, WTF??? From below, he looked like a moose confronting a chihuahua. Totally studly. He kicked at her, backed her down the hill, and chased her off before bounding off into the woods. Kitsune ran after him briefly but you could see she wasn't really going to follow through with anything.

Yay wildlife! I hope she doesn't have to learn the skunk lesson the hard way, too.
